General Information

Open to Corvette and non-Corvette participants of all experience levels and ages 18 and over. Only cars are allowed; no trucks, SUVs, karts, motorcycles, etc. Spectators are welcome, but must remain off the course at all times and behind the chain link fence. No one under the age of 18 is allowed on the course at any time. Anyone wanting to ride along must be 18 or older, have a valid driver's license of their own, and must sign a liability waiver.

There will be a porta-potty on site as well as a trash can. There will be no electricity available for use by participants or spectators. There is a morning session of two heats with 4 runs each and an afternoon session of two heats with 4 runs each. We break for lunch and give you ample time to go get food and return for the afternoon session.

See the Autocross Primer for more information about autocross and how to prepare.

Drivers & Tech Inspection: All drivers must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid drivers license. All drivers and passengers will be required to sign a waiver and receive an event wristband at registration/check-in. Drivers will be responsible for their car to be technically ready and will have to work the heat opposite any heat they drive in. A technical inspection form must be completed and signed by all pre-registered participants prior to registration/check-in at the event. If you forget your tech sheet or register the day of the event, you will have to tech your car and complete a tech form prior to going through tech inspection. More Info & Tech Form

Helmets: All drivers must wear an approved helmet. The helmet must be at least DOT, however SA2010 or newer is preferred. If you do not have a helmet, you can borrow one the day of the event. CCA members can borrow helmets for free and non-members can add all-day helmet rental for $5 when pre-registering online or rent one onsite for $5 cash.

Worker Assignments: All drivers will be required to work the event. You will be required to work the heat(s) opposite the heat(s) you are running. The day of the event, the Worker Chief will assign you to a course location for the heat you are working. Worker Assignments

Volunteers Needed

To make our autocross events successful and to run smoothly, about 20 workers and participants from our club are needed for each event. If you only wish to observe or volunteer, you do not need to be registered for the event. No experience is necessary, we will teach you everything you need to know.

Here are the areas where we need help:

  • Saturday - We need 2-4 people to help set up, mark, and test the course for Sunday. Plan to arrive by 8:30 AM and we should be done by noon.
  • Sunday - We need volunteers for setup, tech inspection, registration, worker chief, grid, start box, spectator control, and cleanup at the event conclusion. Registration opens at 7:30 AM so all worker/participants involved with setup, registration, and tech inspection should arrive by 7:00 AM.

You can sign up to volunteer for autocross events on this shared Google spreadsheet (no sign-in required) or e-mail competitionvette-club.org and specify the day and task you volunteer for. Thursday prior to the event, I will send out an email listing what position(s) everyone has volunteered to do.
