Planning Meeting for 2019 Events

Join fellow club and board members for our 2019 Events Planning Meeting where we will plan and pick dates for upcoming CCA events. All members are welcome to attend and share their ideas for fun, engaging, or informative activities. Planning events takes a lot of time and effort so we're always looking for more members to volunteer and distribute the load by helping organize and lead events. It's a great way to get involved with your club and meet your fellow members while having a great time.

If you have ideas for 2019 club events, any feedback on 2018 events, or if you're unable to attend the planning meeting in person, please e-mail info@vette-club.org and your suggestions will be added to the list for discussion and consideration.

We're also seeking a new autocross venue as we have been informed Lincoln Tech can no longer host such activities on any of their campuses. Any leads or suggestions for an unobstructed paved lot the size of Lincoln Tech's lot or larger, located in the DC metro area or central Maryland, and available either Saturdays or Sundays are very much appreciated. You can e-mail Competition Director, Bill, directly at competition@vette-club.org.

Types of events we're looking for (in no particular order):

  • Corvette shows and gatherings, cars and coffee events, cruise-ins, parades, etc.
  • Tours of museums or collections
  • Corvette or automobile-related instructional or informational seminars or tech sessions
  • Cruises and rallyes, either local or long-distance
  • Brunches, lunches, dinners, happy hours, tastings
  • Parties, picnics, BBQs, potlucks
  • HPDE and autocrosses
  • Corvettes at Carlisle cruise and gathering
