Happy 2018 to all CCA Members, Friends and Sponsors
Happy New Year to all and best wishes for the new year! My name is Kelly Ryan and I am honored to be the President of the Corvette club of America for 2018. I drive a 2011 Jetstream Blue Grand Sport. The purchase of my Corvette was the fulfillment of a lifelong dream and membership in the CCA has certainly added to my enjoyment of the car. My wife Beanie and I have been members since 2011 and we have enjoyed the friendships and many of the road trips and social events sponsored by the club since joining.
This year starts out with our Annual Awards dinner on February 3, 2018 at Normandie Farm in Potomac, Maryland. The food and atmosphere at Normandie Farm is always terrific and their popovers are just plain out of this world. We will be recognizing the contributions of several of our members to the club's success and we will be announcing the winner of the Dick Thompson award for 2017. There will be gifts for all attendees, door prizes, a 50/50 raffle and a silent auction of several high end prizes. I encourage all of our members and friends to come on out and join us for a very enjoyable evening. The CCA board is in the final stages of setting up the 2018 calendar. We are planning a number of autocrosses, an autocross instructional class, a number of day trips and social events, at least two extended cruises up to a week long, and of course our annual car show at Sport Chevrolet. Please make sure to include us in your plans for the upcoming year.
I want to thank Bob Atwell for his outstanding leadership over the past two years and all the members of the board for their continuing support and unceasing efforts to make this club as great as it is.
