Spring is Finally Here... I Hope!
As we all know March and April can deliver very unpredictable weather. I am crossing my fingers that we are past the snow and ice part and into the warm sunny days. We need the good weather for our first Autocross of the season on Sunday, April 23rd at Lincoln Technical College in Columbia, MD. You can check on our website to get all of the information for this and all CCA events.
April 20th, 21st and 22nd is Spring Carlisle. I have met up with friends at this event for years and really en- joy it. For me it is a sign that winter is gone and the car season has returned!
May 6th and 7th is the return of Tire Rack Inc. sponsored TRSS Teen Driver Education at Lincoln Tech. This is supported by BMWoA, NVCC and CCA. Please look for the flyer in this edition of the Corvette Courier. We will also need volunteers for this activity. Sign up to help if you can.
May 21st is our next Autocross at LTC. Remember to pre-register for these events. When you pre-register you not only save money but you enable the people running the events - think Car Show - as well as AX to anticipate attendance. Give it a try! The new web site makes it easier than ever.
Speaking of the Car Show, our 44th Annual Car Show is scheduled for June 4th at our Fantastic Sponsor, Sport Chevrolet. As always we will be needing volunteers to move cars on Saturday. Sunday the club members are really needed for many positions including: Registration, Placing the cars in the lot, Check In and others. Oh!! And we also need CCA's beautiful Corvettes for the show!! The flyers and posters will be available shortly after Easter.
Please keep these dates on your calendar:
- April 11th - Membership Meeting - New location - The Greene Turtle in Burtonsville, MD
- April 23rd - Autocross Test and Tune at Lincoln Tech
- April 25th - Shop Night at Sport Chevrolet
- May 6th & 7th - Tire Rack Street Survival Teen Driving School
I ask all of the CCA membership to participate and enjoy the good people of Corvette Club of America! You will not have any regrets! Keep the drive safe and enjoy your Corvette.
