This year brings new opportunities and endless possibilities for the Corvette Club of America and what better way to showcase it all than on a new website?! The new website went live on February 23rd and we are working hard to add content. We aim to keep you on top of upcoming events through the calendar and to provide recaps and photographs of annual and past events. You can also register for upcoming events (like autocross and the car show) and pay fees through the calendar and members can sign in and track their event registrations. Please take some time to browse the website and learn about the CCA's 60+ years of incredible history and the people and Corvettes that made it possible. The website will always be a work in progress so check back often for new content and features which I'll highlight here in the newsletter over the next couple of months.

The new website can be accessed using any of these three URLs:

  • www.corvetteclubofamerica.org (not .com!)

If you are a current CCA Member and provided the CCA with an e-mail address, you should have already received an e-mail instructing you to create a new password for your account. (These e-mails will come from do_not_replyvette-club.org or webmastervette-club.org). Once you set your password and sign in, you will see your profile page. Click on "General" or "Honorary" under "Memberships" and on the next page (in the upper right just below the "Sign Out" button in the navigation bar) click "Edit Your Membership." Please verify your information, complete the questionnaire, tell us about your car(s), and then click "Submit." If you did not receive an e-mail about your website login information, send me an e-mail (webmastervette-club.org) or use the contact form on the website.

Jon T. and I are starting to use a new method of e-mailing members important updates and event notices and reminders. These e-mails will be sent from mailvette-club.org instead of corvetteclubofamericayahoo.com. Verizon was blocking messages sent through the Yahoo account and now AOL is rate-limiting our vette-club.org e-mails. As a result, AOL users may receive e-mails a little later than others. If you are not receiving e-mails or are getting them too late, let me know.

I'm always looking for interesting content to put on the website. I started an article section called "Member Spotlight" and the goal is to highlight a different CCA member and their Corvette every month. March's Member Spotlight features Donna and Kim from Australia with an update on the restoration of their 1958 Corvette. If you want to be featured in the Member Spotlight, send Jon T. or I an e-mail with your story and 1-5 pictures before the first of the month. We're also looking for technical/DIY/how-to articles as well as recommendations and resources for Corvette-related parts and services to put in our member's only section of the website.

I'm also trying to gather photos after every event to put on our website. For each event I will share a link to the event's webpage where you will find information about how to post your photos to a Google Photos album. If you'd like to contribute written descriptions and recaps for events, I welcome them.
